A debit and/or credit card may be deemed “unreadable” by the payment terminal or ATM. This means that it cannot read the information contained in your card’s magnetic strip.


In this case, your debit and/or credit card’s chip and/or magnetic strip is probably defective. We encourage you to call BIL Client Care Center on +352 4590-5000 or by secure messenger using BILnet, your online banking service who will order you a replacement card at no cost to you. +


Your card will be sent to the physical mailing address you have provided to your bank, which you can find in your BIL personal profile. Your PIN will remain the same.


Depending on the day your order was placed, the maximum time it will take to deliver your card is around ten days.
In an emergency, it’s possible to receive your card within 48 hours and for an additional €75. However, this option only applies to Visa credit cards.
