LuxTrust Mobile is an app used to generate a one-time password (OTP) based on contextual data. The OTP used in conjunction with a password enables you to log in to your banking or online applications securely, to access Guichet.lu and even to sign documents. This application is a sort of dematerialized Token that you can take with you everywhere, it's convenient and more secure!
The data entered when carrying out a transaction in a banking or online application using a computer are encoded as a colour mosaic (QR code). Displayed on the screen, the QR code is scanned using LuxTrust Mobile’s camera function. The data is then decoded and displayed for confirmation by the LuxTrust Mobile application. To authorise generation of the OTP, you must enter your personal password and place a biometric fingerprint on your smartphone or tablet.
As the LuxTrust Mobile application is activated using a personal key, the QR code can only be decrypted by the app installed on the smartphone or tablet. You can then log in to carry out your transactions in complete security.
Please note: an internet connection is required for online activation. Offline activation is also offered. The LuxTrust Mobile application can be installed on a maximum of two different devices (smartphones or tablets).
