He will also become a member of BIL Suisse’ Executive Committee. Hartmut Vollmer joins BIL from Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) where he led the Eastern Europe team. He had been a member of the Bank’s Private Banking management committee since 2011. Prior to UBP, Hartmut Vollmer held management positions at ABN AMRO in Switzerland from 2000 to 2011.</p> <p>Tobias Kamber will take on the role of General Counsel as of 1 January 2021. He will also become a member of BIL Suisse’ Executive Committee. Tobias Kamber has over 16 years of experience in legal, risk and compliance roles in the private banking sector in Switzerland and Hong Kong. Prior to joining BIL Suisse, he held the position of Deputy General Counsel Private Banking at Julius Baer and also headed the Private Banking legal team for Switzerland and the EMEA countries.Tobias Kamber started his career in the private banking sector in 2004 as Legal Counsel at Clariden Bank, prior to joining Julius Baer in 2007.</p> <p>Hans-Peter Borgh, CEO of BIL Suisse and Group Head International, said: “<i>We continue to hold high growth ambitions for our business, and it was essential for us to strengthen our management team. Sightlines, la nouvelle exposition d’Armand Strainchamps à la Galerie Indépendance de la BILhttps://www.bil.com/fr/groupe-bil/pressroom/news/Pages/Sightlines-la-nouvelle-exposition-d-Armand-Strainchamps-a-la-Galerie-Independance-de-la-BIL.aspxSightlines, la nouvelle exposition d’Armand Strainchamps à la Galerie Indépendance de la BIL<p><i>Sightlines</i>, c’est le titre de la monographie sortie le 29 octobre qui retrace la carrière de l’artiste Armand Strainchamps. C’est aussi le titre de la nouvelle exposition qui ouvre le même jour à la Galerie Indépendance de la Banque Internationale à Luxembourg et qui offre au public l’opportunité de découvrir ses œuvres les plus récentes.</p> <p>L’exposition Sightlines fait la part belle à la peinture avec une trentaine de tableaux dans lesquels le public retrouvera le style unique de l’artiste. Sur ces toiles, les personnages sont comme suspendus dans leur mouvement, en apesanteur. Ce sont de véritables arrêts sur image, présentant au regard un sujet débarrassé des détails superflus, renforcé par un contour noir et des couleurs qui viennent au contraire le cristalliser et en intensifier l’expression. Quelques sculptures présentées dans la Galerie Indépendance complètent idéalement l’univers de l’artiste.</p> <p>Les amateurs d’art peuvent avoir un aperçu de l’exposition en visitant <a href="https://www.bil.com/galerie-lindependance/strainchamps/index.html">www.bil.com/galerie-lindependance/strainchamps/index.html</a></p> <p>Cette exposition illustre une nouvelle fois l’engagement de la BIL pour la promotion de l’art et de la culture qui sont, avec l’innovation, l’éducation et la santé, au cœur de sa politique de responsabilité sociale d’entreprise. Sightlines est aussi le fruit d’une longue collaboration avec l’artiste, familier de la Galerie Indépendance. La BIL avait déjà présenté certaines de ses œuvres en 2004, et plus récemment en 2016 pour célébrer les 160 ans de la banque.</p> <p>L’exposition Sightlines d’Armand Strainchamps sera ouverte au public à partir du 30 octobre 2020 au 12 février 2021 en semaine, de 8 heures à 18 heures à la Galerie Indépendance, 69 route d’Esch, Luxembourg.Toutes les mesures de sécurité sanitaire sont en place afin d’accueillir le public dans les meilleures conditions.</p> 29/10/2020 16:00:00
BIL Suisse appoints new Chief Risk Officer and new Head of Corporate and Institutional Bankinghttps://www.bil.com/fr/groupe-bil/pressroom/news/Pages/BIL-Suisse-appoints-new-Chief-Risk-Officer-and-new-Head-of-Corporate-and-Institutional-Banking.aspxBIL Suisse appoints new Chief Risk Officer and new Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking<p>Michiel Haasbroek was appointed Chief Risk Officer with effect from 17 August. He joined ABN AMRO/Fortis in 2007 as an Operational Risk Manager in the Netherlands, quickly taking on more responsibilities in risk management, first in Hong Kong, then in Shanghai. Prior to joining BIL Suisse, he was Chief Risk Officer for Greater China and the Alternate Chief Executive for ABN AMRO’s Hong Kong branch. Michiel holds a PhD in Political Economy from Ruhr University Bochum.</p> <p>Rémy Savoya was appointed Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking with effect from 1 September. Rémy is an experienced investment banker with a background in capital advisory and structured finance at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. Prior to joining BIL, he was Managing Director at Kepler Cheuvreux in Geneva, in charge of developing the company’s activities in debt advisory, equity-linked and debt capital markets. Rémy holds a degree in Finance from the European Business School, INSEEC Group in Lyon.</p> <p>With the support of its majority shareholder Legend Holdings, BIL Group has an ambitious growth plan for its international activities spearheaded by BIL Suisse. While it is serving clients from many different geographies, the Bank recently strengthened its capabilities to serve Chinese companies, entrepreneurs and their families. In September 2019, the Bank opened a Representative Office in Beijing and last February, BIL acquired 100% of Sino Suisse Financial Group Limited, an external wealth management firm based in Hong Kong. Over the past year, BIL Suisse has also strengthened its salesforce by recruiting additional experts, allowing it to expand its service offering to better serve the needs of entrepreneurs looking to develop their business.</p> <p>Hans-Peter Borgh, CEO of BIL Suisse commented: “We have an ambitious international growth plan focusing on entrepreneurs and priority markets such as China.
