This change will take place gradually over the coming weeks. During this period, your Payconiq service will continue to work as usual.
Wero offers a secure and easy way to pay, along with new features and services that reflect the future of payments. As with Payconiq, you will be able to make instant transfers via your smartphone and pay by scanning QR codes.
Wero is already live in several European countries, including Germany, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and is used by more than 54 million registered users.
At BIL, Wero will soon be available through a dedicated Wero mobile app. The app will be available for download shortly, and we will inform you as soon as it is ready.

Wero is a new European digital payment solution designed to be simple and convenient. It enables users to send money instantly and make payments, both online and in-store, directly from their bank account.
It is already available in Belgium, Germany and France, and will be launched in the Netherlands and Luxembourg in 2026, with additional countries to follow shortly.
Wero transforms Payconiq from a national payment solution into a broader European payment solution, offering exciting new features, including the ability to make payments across different countries to other Wero users.
It is supported by major European banks and financial institutions, with the aim of providing secure and easy payments throughout Europe.
In September, Payconiq payments and services will begin to be migrated to Wero. We will soon invite you to download the Wero app from the App Store or Google Play Store and link it to your BIL bank account. You will then be able to start using the app and manage all your payments within the Wero app, just as you previously did with Payconiq.
We will support you throughout the transition and will provide all relevant dates and useful information very soon.
For now, nothing will change with your Payconiq app. You can continue using it as usual.

You can continue using Payconiq as usual until it is permanently discontinued at the end of September. The Payconiq app will remain available during the transition period to Wero.
From 22 September, you will no longer be able to download the Payconiq app or add a bank account to Payconiq.
The full transition will be completed by the end of September 2026, after which the Payconiq app and brand will no longer be in use.
To continue making your usual payments, we recommend that you download the Wero app and connect it to your BIL bank account as soon as we invite you to do so.
