Explosion of colors, interplay of contrasts and reflections, radiating light, mastered abstraction... Oliver Dassault’s photographs catch the eye and reveal an unsuspected universe. This man of many talents and careers became passionate about photography from a young age. Pilot, mathematician, computer science doctor, senior executive, member of parliament, he also had a rich career as a photographer. Initially a portraitist, his art evolved over the years towards abstraction.
The exhibition Abstract Expressions presents over forty artworks by the artist at the Galerie Indépendance. It is part of the program of the festival European Month of Photography – Luxembourg 2025 (emoplux). During the months of May and June, about twenty venues across Luxembourg open their doors to emerging and confirmed artists, showcasing a wide range of photographic genres. BIL, a fervent supporter of Luxembourg’s cultural life, is honored to be associated with the Luxembourgish segment of this major international festival dedicated to photography.
