There are a number of reasons why an ATM could take your debit and/or credit card (if you enter the wrong PIN three times in a row, if you forget to remove your card after the transaction, if the ATM malfunctions, etc.).

If this occurs at one of BIL’s servibank+ ATMs, your card will be automatically returned to you by mail without any fee, at the most recent postal address you have given us.

Even without a bank card, you can still withdraw money from a BIL servibank+ ATM using the QuickMoney™ cardless withdrawal function. This QuickMoney™ cardless withdrawal function for smartphones allows you to make free cash withdrawals from all BIL servibank+ ATMs without using your debit and/or credit card.

However, if this occurs at any other ATM, we advise that you immediately block your card by calling Worldline on +352 49 10 10 or using BILnet, your online banking service, in order to prevent any fraudulent use.

N.B.: If this occurs at one of BIL’s Servibank+ ATMs but your card was not issued by BIL, please follow the below procedure depending on the origin of your card:
- If your card was not issued by BIL but comes from a bank in Luxembourg, it will automatically be returned to your issuing bank.
- If your card was not issued by BIL and comes from a foreign bank, it will be destroyed.
In both these situations, we recommend that you contact your issuing bank to find out what steps to take.
