In Blue Mountains | Red Rocks, Sandra Lieners takes us on a journey to the heart of her art. This vast solo exhibition allows us to contemplate recent works, produced in Australia, during her residency at BigCi - Bilpin International ground for Creative Initiatives and in Luxembourg. A real dialogue is created between these works, most of which are being exhibited to the public for the first time.
Sandra Lieners, a Luxembourg artist trained in classical painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence and at Die Angewandte (University of Applied Arts in Vienna) cultivates a separate world in which the techniques of oil painting rub shoulders and collide with digital aesthetics. It is an honour for BIL to welcome her work for the first time in the setting of the Independence Gallery.
